Climate Change in Sangong River Basin Leads to Decreased Runoff.
The climate and hydrology in the Sangong River Basin have been changing over the past few decades. The temperature in both mountainous and plain areas has been increasing, with the biggest rise seen in the 1990s, especially during winter. Precipitation has also been on the rise, with the most significant increase in the 1980s. The runoff in the three rivers of the basin is highest during the flood season and has decreased from the 1980s to the 1990s. Summer precipitation has a big impact on runoff, while temperature changes have less influence.
