The sedimentary microfacies in the Chang 2 reservoir of Linzhen area in the Ordos Basin are influenced by the braided river delta front subfacies. Four types of sedimentary microfacies were identified, with provenance mainly from the northeast and southwest. Reservoir distribution is closely related to depositional facies, with reservoirs concentrated in specific zones like river-mouth bars and distributary channels. The lithology of the reservoir bed and structural features play a key role in trap formation, with structural-lithologic traps forming due to interactions between structural and lithologic factors.
