The article discusses how advancements in computer science have changed product design to be more collaborative and concurrent. To effectively manage this process, the researchers decomposed product information and created an information model to support concurrent design. They then developed three management modules: product data, activity, and development process management. The system framework was established to help streamline the product design process.
