The article summarizes the characteristics of petroleum geology in Artala Sag in Erlian Basin. It analyzes the stratigraphic sequence, tectonic evolution, depositional system, and conditions for hydrocarbon accumulation. The study identifies the main factors controlling hydrocarbon enrichment in each formation and highlights the unique features of this sag compared to others in the basin. Key findings include later tectonic inversion, widespread development of depositional systems on steep slopes, and the formation of syndepositional anticlines in the Erlian Basin.
