10-meter span solar greenhouse boosts tomato growth and insulation in Yangling
The study looked at how the size of a solar greenhouse affects its ability to keep warm and help tomatoes grow. They measured air temperature and tomato growth in greenhouses that were 8, 10, and 12 meters wide. The greenhouse that was 10 meters wide had the highest average temperature in January, tallest tomato plants, and thickest stems. The model they used to predict nighttime temperatures matched the actual data well. Overall, the 10-meter wide greenhouse performed the best in terms of insulation and tomato growth.
