Heavy metal pollution threatens Poyang Lake ecosystem, urgent prevention needed.
Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China, is facing heavy metal pollution from nearby mineral factories. This pollution is harming the lake's ecosystem and affecting water quality, fisheries, agriculture, and the natural environment. The main pollutants are copper, lead, and zinc from mining activities. To protect the lake's environment, measures to prevent and treat heavy metal contamination are proposed in the paper.
