China's Surging Foreign Exchange Reserves Bring Economic Risks and Rewards
China's foreign exchange reserves have been increasing rapidly, reaching almost $2 trillion by the end of 2008. This huge amount of reserves shows China's economic strength, but it also has negative effects on the economy. The study found that the excessive increase in reserves is mainly caused by certain factors and is harming the Chinese economy. Solutions to address this issue were also suggested.
