High nitrogen, low density combo boosts alfalfa growth and seed yield!
The study looked at how nitrogen fertilizer and planting density affect the growth and seed yield of alfalfa plants. They found that using high nitrogen levels and low planting density helped the plants grow more and produce more seeds. The stems were the main part of the plant that absorbed nitrogen in certain conditions, while flower pods absorbed more in other conditions. Overall, the best results were seen with 150 kg of nitrogen per hectare and a planting density of 3 plants per square meter, leading to a seed yield of 740.36 kg per hectare.
