New water quality criteria set to protect Dianshan Lake ecosystem.
The researchers studied the water quality of Dianshan Lake to establish criteria for chlorophyll a levels. They found that the lake's chlorophyll a concentration varied over different periods, with recommended values of 2.0 μg/L in winter-spring and 5.0 μg/L in summer-autumn. These criteria were based on 23 years of data and were validated using the input-response relationship from Taihu Lake.
