II Youhang No.1 is a hybrid rice created by crossing two different types of rice plants. This hybrid rice has been found to have high and consistent yields, can grow well in different environments, and produces a lot of seeds. It was officially recognized as a good rice variety in Fujian in 2001 and in China in 2005. The process of creating this hybrid rice, its characteristics, how to grow it, and how to produce its seeds are all discussed in this paper.
