New Winter Wheat Cultivars Boost Grain Yield and Water Efficiency!
The study looked at how two types of winter wheat grow with limited water and nitrogen. They tested two irrigation levels and two nitrogen levels on two wheat varieties. They found that one irrigation level and nitrogen level combination gave the highest grain yield and water use efficiency. The wheat variety Jimai 22 did better than Shimai 15 in terms of grain yield and water use efficiency. Overall, the combination of more irrigation and less nitrogen led to the best results in terms of grain yield and water use efficiency.
