Paper Summary

Aquatic plants in Taihu Lake were studied in 2004. Two main groups, submersed and floating-leaved macrophytes, were found to dominate the lake. Different types of these plants were identified. The presence of aquatic vegetation was shown to improve the water quality of the lake significantly.
