Massive energy savings and reduced emissions for coal power plants.
The booster fan in the wet flue gas desulfurization process of multi-furnaces with one tower can lead to operational issues and high energy use. By studying a thermal power plant's FGD design, it was found that the booster fan can be replaced by modifying the induced fan after optimizing the gas system with CFD simulation. This change can improve performance, reduce energy consumption, and lower operation and maintenance costs for small and medium coal-fired power plants.
