The study analyzed rural drinking water in Congjiang county from 2009 to 2012 to understand its cleanliness. Water samples were collected and tested for quality, with only 17.53% meeting standards. The main issues were high bacterial counts and contamination by coliform bacteria. The study found that microbial contamination is a major concern for the safety of rural drinking water in Congjiang county.
