The study looked at how moving frozen soil affects its physical properties. They tested different fertilization methods and found that moving soil disturbed its porosity and bulk density. The top 20cm of soil had higher porosity after moving, while the 20-40cm layer had lower porosity. Water holding capacity was improved by organic matter and fertilizer. The moisture content decreased with soil depth before moving, but after moving, it became more consistent throughout the soil layers.
