The study looked at different types of sediment found in the Luotang Group in the Guixi Basin during the Late Early Cretaceous period. They found that the basin's formation was influenced by fault activities, leading to the development of various sedimentary facies like alluvial fan, fan-delta, braided stream delta, braided stream, and lacustrine facies. These sediment types changed as the basin evolved, showing a narrow distribution and abrupt changes in facies in different directions.
