Chaos Theory Unlocks Motor Faults, Revolutionizing Maintenance Efficiency.
A new method using chaos theory and fractal geometry was used to analyze vibration signals from electric motors. The frequency and Lyapunov index showed clear chaotic patterns in the signals. By reconstructing the data sequences in a phase space, the delay time and embedding dimension of the system were determined. The correlation dimension of the reconstructed strange attractor was then calculated. This method lays the groundwork for diagnosing faults in eccentric motors.
