New fertilizer treatment boosts potato yield and water efficiency under drip irrigation.
The researchers studied how different types of fertilizer affected potato growth and yield under drip irrigation. They found that using a specific fertilizer mix (N3P2K2) led to taller plants, more big potatoes, and higher overall potato weight per plant. This mix also resulted in the highest potato yield compared to other treatments. Additionally, the study showed that the highest nitrogen, phosphate, and potash utilization rates were achieved with specific application amounts. Overall, water use efficiency significantly improved with the N3P2K2 treatment, reaching 80.17kg per hectare per millimeter of water.
