Qinghai's Precipitation Increasing, Shifts Seasonal Patterns Over Last 50 Years
The study looked at how rainfall in Qinghai province changed over the past 50 years. They used different methods to analyze the data from 32 weather stations. The results showed that overall, annual rainfall slightly increased by 3.3 mm every 10 years. Most of the rain fell between May and September, with noticeable increases in the 21st century. The north and west regions had less rain compared to the south and east. The study also found that rainfall patterns had a 2-year and 3-4 year cycle.
