Land desertification in northwestern China is mainly caused by human activities and drought. To control this, we need to reduce the environmental impact of human actions, like controlling population growth and improving land quality. The focus should be on increasing the land's ability to support life. The paper discusses new ideas and management strategies to address the challenges of preventing land desertification and restoring ecosystems in the region.
