Male University Students More Prone to Internet Addiction, Science Majors at Risk.
The study looked at how 1615 university students use the internet and if they are addicted to it. They found that almost all students use the internet, with no big differences between boys and girls or different areas of study. However, older students and those from certain regions showed more internet addiction. About 8% of students were addicted to the internet, with boys being more addicted than girls. Science students were more addicted than liberal arts students, but addiction didn't change much with different grades.
