The study aimed to release gas trapped in coal by mining lower layers in Xinqiang Coal Mine. By mining the lower layer of No.90 coal seam, the fractured zone created by the falling roof in the goaf disrupted the gas structure in the No.87 coal seam. This method helped to relieve stress and release gas effectively.
