Ancient China's Langguan System Shifts from Elite to Popular Culture
Langguan in Ancient China started before Qin dynasty and became popular during Qin and Han dynasties. It had two main directions: from inside to outside and from high to low. Emperor Han Wu created the system, which was further developed in the Eastern Han dynasty. Langguan evolved through Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern dynasties. In Sui and Tang dynasties, central organizations saw no more changes in Langguan. Despite some repetition in Sui and Tang dynasties, Langguan eventually became more widespread among the people.
