A new hybrid rice called Liuliangyou 9366 was developed by Nanjing Shenzhou Seed Industry Co. Ltd. It has good quality grains and high yield, outperforming other varieties in Hubei Province trials. The female parent, 6311S, was created from a mix of Guangzhan 63S and 9311, while the male parent, 9366, came from Pei′ai 64S/9311//9311///9311. This hybrid rice was approved for commercial production in April 2010 by the Hubei Provincial Crop Variety Appraisal Committee.
