Researchers estimated the amount of plant growth in Henan Province, China using satellite data and weather information. They found that forests had the highest plant growth, followed by shrubs, grasslands, and croplands. Plant growth was lowest in winter and highest in summer. The method used to estimate plant growth worked well for Henan Province.
