A special type of potato called Atlantic grows well in Huining county when using plastic mulching. The average yield per hectare is 30 tons, with some reaching up to 45 tons. This results in an output value of $22,500 to$36,000 per hectare. Two methods are used for cultivation: single cropping and intercropping with maize. Organic and chemical fertilizers are applied to help the potatoes grow. The cultivation method chosen considers the local conditions and aims to prevent late blight.
