New Gas Drainage Method Reduces Emissions and Ensures Mine Safety.
A method combining gas pre-drainage, high level boreholes, and buried pipelines was used in a high gas mine. Gas drainage increased by 0.46-1.02 times with pre-drainage. Gas emissions from adjacent seams decreased from 4.38-10.17 m3/t to 1.46-3.16 m3/t after high level borehole drainage. Gas volume in the goaf was kept below safety regulations at 0.7%-0.9% with buried pipelines.
