New peanut variety Longhua 243 boosts yields and protein content significantly.
A new peanut variety called Longhua 243 was created through breeding at Longyan Institute of Agricultural Sciences. It was made by crossing two different peanut plants. Longhua 243 produced more pods and seeds than another variety called Quanhua No.10. It also had higher protein content. This new variety is known for its high and consistent yield, resistance to diseases, and ability to grow well in different conditions.
