The study compared two methods of growing rice: directly sowing in upland by machine and transplanting seedlings from dry seedbed using machinery. The second method had higher rice yields and lower costs compared to the first method. The first method had unstable yields and higher herbicide use, leading to higher production costs and environmental impact. Overall, the second method was found to be more economically efficient for farmers.
