The water quality and ecological security in Shandong Province's water source areas are at risk due to human activities and climate change. To address this, comprehensive plans are needed to manage the environment at the river basin level, control water pollution, establish ecological compensation mechanisms, conduct security surveys, and raise public awareness about environmental protection.
