Boosting nitrogen fertilizer increases cotton yield and quality, revolutionizing agriculture.
The study looked at how different amounts of nitrogen fertilizer affect the growth and quality of hybrid cotton plants. They found that more nitrogen fertilizer led to higher amounts of nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium in the plants, especially in the later stages of growth. The best yield was seen with 300 kg/ha of nitrogen, with a slight increase compared to 225 kg/ha. Increasing nitrogen fertilizer improved nutrient use efficiency, but decreased the rate of nitrogen use. Fiber length and strength increased with nitrogen fertilization, but there was no significant difference between different nitrogen amounts.
