New Maize Hybrid Xinyu34: High Starch Content Revolutionizes Feed Industry
A new maize hybrid called Xinyu34 was created by combining two different maize plants in 2001. It was officially released in 2006 and has shown high and stable yields, strong resistance to pests, and good grain quality in experiments. Xinyu34 can be used for both food and animal feed. It produces around 894.9 kg of maize per 667 square meters, which is 4.78% more than another popular maize variety. It has high levels of protein, starch, and kernel density, meeting national standards for feed and high-starch maize. Xinyu34 is specifically designed for starch processing and grows well in the northern regions of Xinjiang with temperatures above 10℃.
