Scholar-Officials in East Han Dynasty Challenge Corrupt Politics with Social Rescuing Activities
During the late East Han Dynasty, scholar-officials were concerned about corruption and social crisis caused by emperors' relatives and eunuchs. To address this, they publicly criticized political issues and tried to fix existing problems. Their actions helped to improve the political situation and maintain the rule of emperors. However, they didn't fully understand the monarchy system, so their efforts didn't address deeper political structures. Despite this, their criticism helped to create more open public opinion and decrease the secretive nature of the monarchy system.
