New soybean variety Kenjiandou41 boosts yields and oil content in Heilongjiang.
A new soybean variety called Kenjiandou41 was developed in 2006 by Heilongjiang August first land reclamation university. It has early maturing, high oil content, and good disease resistance. The parents of Kenjiandou41 were Suinong14 and Hefeng25, both with desirable traits. Kenjiandou41 yields between 3,000 to 3,450 kg/hm2, which is 8.8% higher than Jinfeng 7. Its oil content is 22.21%. This soybean variety is expected to be widely planted in Heilongjiang province.
