New construction techniques for stronger, safer bridge pylons unveiled.
The Huanggang Changjiang River Rail-cum-Road Bridge pylons were built using concrete and steel truss girder cable-stayed bridge. The construction process involved casting concrete for the pylons in layers, using temporary cross bracings for support, and analyzing the process with software. The results showed that the construction method met safety requirements and reduced the load on scaffolding, ensuring the pylons were strong and stable during construction.
