Citizens participating in public policy is valuable for making policies more scientific, democratic, and effective. However, in China, citizens face obstacles like limited channels, imperfect mechanisms, and weak organization when trying to participate. To improve this, it is important to build a culture of citizen involvement, enhance citizens' skills in policy participation, strengthen civil society, and improve institutional frameworks for citizen engagement.
