Chinese Citizens Empowered to Shape Public Policy for Democratic Progress.
Citizens' participation is crucial for democracy in China. To improve public policy making, citizens need to be more involved. The current issues include lack of involvement, communication channels, information access, and organization. To address this, citizens must be more aware and capable, communication channels need to be improved, government information systems reformed, and citizen organizations strengthened.
