Planting potatoes in a field during the winter can help rice grow better. The study found that doing this increased the number of rice tillers and the overall yield. The number of effective panicles increased by 640,000 per hectare, and the yield increased by 765.4 kg per hectare, which is a 12.8% increase. The quality of the rice remained the same during processing.
