A new model was created to predict how water quality is affected by organic pollution. It combines a formula for pollution loss with a decay equation for organic garbage. The model links pollution levels to how long it takes pollutants to break down and shows how pollution loss changes as pollutants degrade. They tested the model using data on pollution from industrial wastewater in Fuzhou City. The study provides a better understanding of how organic pollution can harm water quality.
