Drip irrigation boosts greenhouse tomato yield by 35% and saves water
The study looked at how different ways of watering greenhouse tomatoes affect their yield and the movement of nutrients in the soil. They compared drip irrigation with flood irrigation and found that drip irrigation led to higher soil temperature, increased tomato yield by 4% to 35%, and improved nitrogen use efficiency by 2% to 17%. The best watering schedule was found to be once every six days with 180m3 of water per square meter.
