Spatial interpolation predicts hydatidosis rates in Tibetan counties with precision.
The study aimed to predict the prevalence of hydatidosis in Tibetan counties using spatial interpolation methods. Data from 124 counties were collected, and three interpolation methods were compared: local polynomial interpolation, inverse distance weighting, and kriging. Kriging was found to be the most accurate method for predicting hydatidosis rates. The predicted rates in Zhidoi County and Maduo County were 2.04% and 5.28%, respectively. This study shows that kriging is an effective tool for predicting hydatidosis rates in Qinghai Province.
