Weak light boosts tobacco growth and photosynthesis, improving quality and yield.
Prolonging weak light duration for greenhouse tobacco seedlings can boost their growth and photosynthesis. Researchers found that exposing the seedlings to low-intensity light for longer periods increased their daily photosynthesis and production capacity. This led to improved seedling quality by enhancing chlorophyll content and promoting growth. The study showed that while the maximum photosynthetic rate remained the same, the light compensation point decreased, indicating better efficiency in utilizing light for growth.
