Toxic Air Pollution Plagues Hancheng City, Threatening Public Health
The air quality in urban Hancheng city was studied from 1999 to 2001. The researchers identified different types of pollution in the city and found that pollution levels varied by season and location. The main pollutants, SO2, NOx, and TSP, showed different concentration patterns throughout the year. The pollution was most prominent in winter and spring. The study suggested practical measures for managing and preventing pollution in the city.
