Mango Cultivars Unveil Sweet Surprise: Sucrose Reigns Supreme in Fruits!
The study used a method called high performance liquid chromatography to look at the sugars in 46 different types of mangoes. They found that ripe mangoes have mainly sucrose, fructose, and glucose, with sucrose being the most common. The average amount of sucrose was 20.19 mg per gram of fresh weight. Different mango types had varying levels of sucrose and glucose, but not fructose.
