An improved extended Kalman filter called MI-EKF was developed to enhance accuracy in nonlinear systems. By combining multi-innovation theory with the standard EKF, MI-EKF considers both current and past motion states, leading to better precision and stability. The algorithm's performance was tested with different numbers of innovations, with results showing that MI-EKF with two innovations is the most optimal for improved filtering accuracy.
