The article discusses how Marxism and institutional economics differ in their approach to understanding economic systems. Classic institutional economics and the new institutional economics share a common foundation, but Marx's political economics offers a unique perspective. While the former aims to improve the essence of economic systems, the latter focuses on serving market economics.
