The salary system for college teachers has undergone two major changes in 1985 and 1993. Despite guidance documents from the Education Department, there are still issues with the current system that hinder college development. To address this, a continual reform is needed to deepen the appointment system, introduce office posts, and overcome income equalitarianism. These changes aim to boost teacher motivation, enhance competitiveness, and ultimately improve the college environment.
