The study looked at how sediment, food, temperature, and salinity affect the survival and growth of Cultelles scalprum juveniles. Soft mud was the best sediment for their survival, while Chaetoceros muelleri was the best food for their growth. The ideal temperature range for their survival was 10-30℃, with the best growth at 26-30℃. They can tolerate a wide range of salinity, but grow best at a salinity of 22. Overall, Cultelles scalprum juveniles thrive in soft mud, with Chaetoceros muelleri as their preferred food, and do well in a range of temperatures and salinities.
