New wastewater treatment process achieves 90% COD removal, improving water quality.
The article discusses a new method to clean up wastewater in cities in southern China. By combining biological and ecological treatments, they can remove harmful substances like nitrogen and phosphorus efficiently. The process can treat 100 cubic meters of wastewater per day. The results show that this method can remove 90% of COD, 60-80% of total nitrogen, and 90% of total phosphorus from the wastewater.
