The researchers studied how the water supply in Dianxi plain in Daqinghe river will change after the middle route project of south-to-north water diversion is implemented. They used a special algorithm to create a plan that saves water and restores underground water levels. By looking at the year 2020, they found that the success of the water diversion project affects how much water the region will have.
